The federal government of Nigeria has been in a small battle with The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). The lecturer who have embarked on strike since March 2020 with the whole Corona virus issues in the country.
This is already two weeks after suspending their nine-month-old strike, in a recent tweet on twitter the university teachers accused the Federal Government of Nigeria for not keeping up to their agreement which was reached with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

In a clear view this strike was conditionally suspended following the intervention and approach of stakeholders and directive from the federal government of Nigeria to suspend thr implementation of the controversial IPPIS for lecturers.
Reasons for this action is the fact that the federal government of Nigeria is yet to pay December salaries for lecturers in Nigeria, while “unlawful” deductions are still yet to be refunded to their accounts.
